This gender neutral statement t-shirt is accented with a black and white garden of flowers carefully cut from a reclaimed curtain. The graphic in the back reads ‘make better happen’, as a contrast in concepts with the Playboy figure while the sleeves are adorned with pieces of leopard taken from a skirt. The sleeves and hem are frayed. All elements used to design this piece are repurposed and are hand-sewn with a dark electric blue embroidery thread to create a wonderful contrast. It is meant to be oversized, worn tucked in or loose.
Each Claudia Gontovnik piece is one-of-a-kind, designed with repurposed materials in Miami and hand sewn by single mothers in Medellin, Colombia.
The hand-made and unfinished details on these garments is what makes them original, what gives them their unique character.
